Pointless?

In the hurry of starting a new blog, I named it quite without thinking. I titled my blog 'The Pensieve', after the one Albus Dumbledore owns in the Harry Potter series. I had a choice to name it either of the two (the one I currently have). I quickly decided that 'The Pensieve' would have little meaning to me (just that I'm one of those fans that you wish you could beat with noodle), I would go ahead and use it. But for some odd reason, the one that I didn't choose was the one that was bothering me the most.

Why didn't I just use it?

A thought occured to me tonight as I was trying (fruitlessly) to figure out how to change my background and make this blog a little more... er... catchy. I grow tired of this cookie cutter background and crave my own. The thought? What happens if J.K. Rowling happens to be a blogger on here and stumbles across my blog? A likely story, I'm sure, but what if? She could sue me, destroy me financially and make me hate Harry Potter. Well, maybe not the latter, as I'm obsessed beyond a healthy obsession, but still the same. I decided it would be better to go with the original title that I wanted to go with.

So why 'The 'Dear Crystal' Letters'? I chose this because of a friend of mine. Whether or not she reads these, I'm not too sure. She wanted me to start a blog (because she finds me interesting??). After much of her insisting I write something for her to read, I decided to 'google' a blog site and take Nike's advice (Just Do It).

So, Crystal, dear friend... if you're reading this, I did this all for you. I miss you, and I hope that everything you do, you succeed in. I pray for you to have hope in your heart and peace in your life. I write these, for you.

In the meantime, I'm still trying to figure out how to work this website.
